You only need a Heart for Hospice
Hospice volunteers provide an all-important community connection for patients and families – while helping in countless other ways. Our specially trained volunteers work side by side with hospice professionals in providing support to those in our community when they need it most.

Through their care and concern, hospice volunteers help others live life to the fullest. They bring companionship to people living with a terminal illness, respite to families and caregivers, and support in fundraising. Their time, whether it is spent providing basic care or companionship to our patients, in our office filing, making copies, answering phones, or providing respite for family members, not only enhances the lives of those they care for, but also brings great personal rewards.

The core of the hospice philosophy is that each person be supportive in living life fully, free of pain, with dignity, and surrounded by compassion from family and loved ones. Coastal Hospice volunteers support the work of caring professionals in providing this quality care.

We are looking for people in the community who would like to share their time, energy, and expertise in bringing compassion and care to the lives of those in need. You only need a Heart for Hospice. For more information about volunteer opportunities contact Judy Hunt-Harris, Coordinator of Volunteers, 410.376.3441 or 410.742.8732.
