Thank you to all of our sponsors and friends that attended Blues on the Bay!

Blues on the Bay, one of our most anticipated events of the year, hosted by Highwater Management and Macky & Pam Stansell at Macky’s Bayside Bar & Grill, once again was a sold-out event this past September, raising more than $64,500 for charitable care at the Macky & Pam Stansell House.

In addition to providing hospice-eligible individuals with a specialized, comforting, and safe long-term residential plan, Stansell House is now offering short-term acute care intervention for hospice patients who need intensive symptom management including but not limited to pain, anxiety, and shortness of breath. Along with that, we are now offering respite care, which provides caregivers with much needed breaks.

Thank you to all of our sponsors and friends that attended the event … it was a fabulous night of friendship and camaraderie with a gorgeous front-row view over the bay. Thank you for your commitment to continue supporting coordinated care for patients and families at our hospice residence – The Macky & Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice.

The Macky & Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice is a state-of-the-art hospice residence and community outreach center in Ocean Pines, now licensed to offer General Inpatient Care (GIP) to our community of Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties. On top of providing hospice-eligible individuals with a specialized, comforting, and safe long-term residential plan, Stansell House is now offering short-term acute care intervention for hospice patients who need intensive symptom management including but not limited to pain, anxiety, and shortness of breath. Along with that, we are now offering respite care, which provides caregivers with much needed breaks.

The GIP facilities provide 24-hour nursing services, a home-like atmosphere where patient areas provide comfort and privacy for patients and their families, and accommodations for family members to remain with the patient throughout the night. Founded in 1980, Coastal Hospice is a nonprofit health care organization that cares for individuals facing life-limiting conditions but want to remain as active and engaged as possible. Coastal Hospice cares for patients in their home, nursing home, assisted living facility, Stansell House or at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. The organization serves Wicomico, Worcester, Dorchester and Somerset counties.
