DESCRIPTION:Join Us – Saturday\, October 18\, 2025 \nAssateague Island State Park\n6915 Stephen Decatur Hwy\, Berlin\, MD\nBenefiting the Macky & Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice \n2 Mile Walk or 5K Run at Assateague State Park \nBeachwood\, Inc. Custom Builders presents the Coastal Walk & 5K Run (sponsored by Assateague State Park & MD Park Services) benefiting the Macky & Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice. Participants can choose to compete (or not) in a 2-mile Walk or 5K Run at this year’s event on Saturday\, October 18th\, at Assateague State Park (campground – day use – 6915 Stephen Decatur Hwy\, Berlin\, MD). Arrive at 8 AM for registration\, refreshments\, and music with a 9 AM start. \nRegistration includes a dri-fit long-sleeve shirt\, and medals will be awarded to the placing participants in each of the categories following the race. Registration for this event is $30 per participant\, with Sponsorship Opportunities available. \nAdditional Details!\nThe 5K will start on the paths but will enter onto the beautiful sandy beach to start your day!\nThe walk will stay on the paved trail leading back to the Assateague State Park Campgrounds! All ages welcome! Bring the whole family — friendly dogs on a leash are welcome. \nThe Macky & Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice is a state-of-the-art inpatient hospice\, located in Berlin that offers beds for terminally ill patients\, palliative care\, counseling\, grief support\, and community wellness programs. Founded in 1980\, Coastal Hospice is a nonprofit health care organization that cares for individuals facing life-limiting conditions but who want to remain as active and engaged as possible. Coastal Hospice cares for patients in their home\, nursing home\, assisted living facility\, Coastal Hospice at the Lake\, or the Macky & Pam Stansell House. Our organization has provided quality care to those in need in Wicomico\, Worcester\, Dorchester\, and Somerset counties for 45 years!
