Ocean Pines, MD – January 27, 2021 – An unexpected but gracious $35,000 donation was received from Worcester County locals, Jackie and Kevin Ball & Caryl and Hugo Cardenas.

Jackie Ball and Caryl Cardenas met with our Director of Advancement, Tammy Patrick and kindly stated, “In the last days of our mother Lynne Gillen’s life, Coastal Hospice brought great comforting to our family. The staff was so helpful and, ever since, this organization has been in our thoughts. That is why we wanted to contribute to the wonderful work you do”.

Coastal Hospice is beyond appreciative of the support received from the Balls and Cardenas. In recognition of their generosity, a plaque naming Caryl & Hugo Cardenas will be placed in the Cape Isle of Wight Garden, as well as, a plaque naming Jackie & Kevin Ball on the community family porch — both at Macky & Pam Stansell House. These donations allow us to continue our mission to promote dignity and quality of life for patients and families facing life-limiting conditions.
