Coastal Walk & 5K Run

Beachwood, Inc. Custom Builders presented the Coastal Walk & 5K Run, sponsored by Assateague State Park & MD Park Services, benefiting the Macky & Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice. Participants chose to compete in a 2 mile Walk or 5K Run at this year’s event, held on Saturday, October 19th at Assateague State Park (6915 Stephen Decatur Hwy, Berlin, MD). Registrants arrrived and enjoyed, refreshments and music until the race began. Registration was $30 and included a dri-fit long sleeve shirt and medals were awarded to the placing participants in each of the categories following the race.  We had many sponsorship opportunities available and appreciate all who support us.

The Macky & Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice is a state-of-the-art hospice residence and community outreach center in Berlin that offers beds for terminally ill patients, palliative care, counseling, grief support, and community wellness programs. Founded in 1980, Coastal Hospice is a nonprofit health care organization that cares for individuals facing life-limiting conditions but who want to remain as active and engaged as possible. Coastal Hospice cares for patients in their home, nursing home, assisted living facility, Coastal Hospice at the Lake, or the Macky & Pam Stansell House. The organization serves Wicomico, Worcester, Dorchester, and Somerset counties.
