Marion Keenan Giving Society
A pioneer and remarkable leader, Marion Keenan’s life was a testament to her compassion and dedication to the dignity and comfort of those in their final days. As the inaugural leader of Coastal Hospice, she laid the foundation for a compassionate and dedicated organization, forever changing the landscape of end-of-life care on the Lower Eastern Shore.
Marion Keenan served as President of Coastal Hospice for twenty-seven years. With unwavering commitment, Marion navigated the challenges of building a new organization. Her vision and determination brought Coastal Hospice to life, transforming what started as a Home Health Agency covering a 15-mile radius in Salisbury, MD into the organization we are today, serving four counties and covering more than 2,600 square miles. Without a doubt, her leadership was a beacon of hope, illuminating the path for us all to follow.
The Giving Society
We honor her legacy by renaming our Charter Society to the Marion Keenan Giving Society. The Marion Keenan Giving Society is an honorary recognition established by Coastal Hospice to honor generous donors who have significantly supported the organization through lifetime giving.
Membership Criteria
Individuals who have contributed at least $10,000 over their lifetime to Coastal Hospice are inducted into the Marion Keenan Giving Society.
Benefactor Level
Donors who have contributed $25,000 or more over their lifetime receive special distinction within the Society and are honored as Benefactors.
This recognition serves to acknowledge and celebrate the vital role of philanthropy in sustaining Coastal Hospice’s mission and services.
